Specialty and ornamental iron
For the property that doesn't fit an off-the-shelf run.
Ornamental iron, custom design fencing, high security systems, walk gates and cantilever track gates for residential and commercial clients across Pasadena and the surrounding Houston area. Over 45 years of building fence for openings and grades that nothing standard was made for.
Chapter 01
What makes a fence a specialty job
Most properties take a standard run: straight lines, square corners, a gate opening built to a common width. Specialty work is everything that isn't that. A corner where the grade drops two feet in ten, a gate opening that has to clear a driveway measured before modern vehicles existed, a security line where the fence has to do more than mark a boundary. Off-the-shelf panels do not solve those problems, and forcing them to is how you end up with a fence that looks fine on delivery day and fails within a season.
This is also where ornamental iron earns its place. Iron holds a line and a shape that wood and chain link cannot, which matters when the property itself is doing something unusual.

Designing and building custom fencing for this climate
A custom design still has to survive Gulf Coast conditions, so the design work and the material specification happen together, not in sequence. Ornamental iron gets a powder coat rated for the salt air off the ship channel and the humidity that sits over Pasadena most of the year. Where a run crosses uneven or clay-heavy ground, we set footings and post spacing to the actual grade rather than to a standard spec sheet, because a custom line on bad footings is just an expensive way to get the same problem a standard fence would have.
Cantilever track gates and swing gates on a specialty property often carry a wider or heavier opening than a standard install, which changes the track length, the post depth, and the counterweight on the gate. We size all of that to the actual opening, measured on site, not to a catalog default.
Chapter 03
High security fencing and controlled openings
High security fencing systems come up most often on commercial and industrial properties where the fence line has to do real work: control who can get in, hold up against an attempted breach, and still read as a professional property line rather than a barricade. That is a different design problem than a residential privacy fence, and it gets specified accordingly, from post gauge to gate hardware to how the line ties into any existing access control.
Walk gates on a specialty line get built to match the security level of the fence around them rather than treated as an afterthought, since a strong fence with a weak walk gate is only as secure as its weakest point.
What the one-year warranty covers on custom work
Specialty and ornamental iron installs carry the same one-year warranty on materials and labor as every other job we build, which on custom work means the fabricated iron, the gate hardware, the footings, and the labor of putting it all together to the design agreed on at the estimate.
Because this work is often one of a kind, we walk the design and the material with the owner before anything is fabricated, so what gets built matches what was priced and there are no surprises when the crew shows up.
